Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct
Youth
soccer is a game were the children participate and have fun.
Unfortunately, inappropriate behavior among spectators is becoming more
prevalent. A unique feature of soccer is that the coaches are
responsible for the behavior of his/her team's spectators.
Therefore, in an attempt to make the coaches job easier, the following
is expected of all parents/guardians and other spectators.
1. Treat
the players, coaches, and spectators with respect, both your team and
the opposing team.
2. Treat
the referees with respect. The Laws of Soccer prohibit dissent of any
type, by word or action.
3.
Encourage your team (cheer) in a positive manner. Negative comments
towards any player, coach, referee, or spectator will not be tolerated.
4. Do not
try to coach your child during a game. That is the Coaches job.
5. I
understand that it is the coach's decision as to how much playing time a
player will receive, and to what positions a player will be assigned to
play.
6. If I
must talk to the coach about an apparent problem, I will do so in a
quiet manner, without any children present, and at an appropriate time
7. I
understand that I may be asked to leave the premises if I violate this
Code of Conduct and I will comply.
8. I
understand that if I persist in violating this Code of Conduct, I will
be banned from future games.
9. I
understand that it is my responsibility to inform any other relatives or
guests attending games that this Code of Conduct applies to all
spectators.
