Torrance Soccer Club Fall Recreational League
We are really excited at Torrance Soccer Club about our recreational program. We hope you will help us make it awesome by joining us this fall. Torrance Soccer Club is a 100% volunteer governed league. Our dedicated team of volunteers has a decade of experience managing recreational and competitive soccer programs. Due to our long history of successful operations, you can expect high quality programs at the most affordable pricing. Below are some key aspects of our program:
- Open to all skill levels - Our recreational program is great for all skill levels and all players are welcome to join. Sign up today!
- Local Competition - Our program is a local community based program and will be held at local Torrance fields. Players will participate on a team with a few trainings per week and a game on the weekend against other local teams.
- Season Timeline - Teams will be formed in mid August 2025 with games occurring September through around beginning of December.
- No fees for volunteers - If you volunteer as a head coach or complete referee assignments then our programs will be free for your child. We want to reward those that help make our programs a success.
- Lower fees for everyone - Sign up by May 30th and the cost is only $100. Spread the word!!
- School Year vs Birth Year registration - No longer will Kindergartners be matched up against 2nd graders. We're going back to school year registration this fall.
- Referees for games 8U and above - Pete Doucette is our ref administrator and I feel confident under his leadership that we are going to make this happen.
- Refer a Friend Program - If you refer a friend to our program we will make sure you are placed on the same team as the person you refer. In order to maintain balanced teams we can only commit to this for one friend but we will consider multiple referrals if you refer more people. To ensure we place you on the team with your friend please send us a note at info@wtsoccer.org with the names of the players.
- Player Develop Enhancements - One size fits all rules do not always work for local recreational leagues. Send me your ideas at info@wtsoccer.org and let's work together to operate differently where it makes sense. For example, should we bring back things like goalie punts for 8U and 10U? Should offside be called at the half line for 10U instead of the build out line? Should we have competitive games at 8U instead of a season of scrimmages. We have the freedom to make changes to serve our players better and we will.
- Streamlined Volunteering - We'll make it as easy as possible to meet required volunteer requirements. For example, you won't be required to do two separate background checks or attend weekend long coach or referee training courses. We can make needed training more efficient without sacrificing quality.
We are really excited and passionate about our organization. We believe our fall program is going to be awesome. Please help us build something wonderful for the kids in our community by joining us this fall.
